I registered for the site, but I cannot log in.

Did you receive the verification email? In that email is a verification link you need to check before the site lets you log in. This prevents robot registration. If you cannot find the verification email, please check your junk folder.

I could read the book before, but now I have lost access to the chapters.

After a few days, the site automatically logs you out. You probably need to log back in. Check the upper right corner of the homepage. If you see the words Log In, then do so.
